JOB DESCRIPTION
- Developing and directing project plans with the Engineering Project Manager (e.g. project budget, schedules, and change management requirements etc.)
- Reviewing, monitoring and ensuring compliance requirements are met for design and (e.g. Standards, specification and local codes and regulations etc.)
- Coordinating with other engineering and design discipline team members
- Perform piping modelling, equipment modelling, pipe support modelling, Drafting and extraction activities.
- Reviewing stamped and finalized drawings (including piping plans and sections, piping isometrics, piping supports, tank and vessel layouts and details, etc.)
- General Arrangement and piping layout experience using Aveva Everything 3D (E3D) and PDMS Draft modelling tool.
- Expertise in piping design and material selection in accordance with oil and gas standards
- Strong focus on material handling aspects, access/maintenance and working environment in physical layout and piping design.
- Perform independent piping and layout studies.
- Multidiscipline coordination work within the relevant area group.
- Flexibility in working tasks and able to present subjects/tasks in design reviews.
- Ability to meet project deadlines, quality requirements
- Working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and standards, including but not limited to CSA, ASME, and API
- Knowledge of appropriate fabrication / procurement / construction methods
- Willingness to temporarily travel/transfer to an offsite location during the fabrication phase
- Ability lead a team of 4 -6 Designers
- Reviewing and monitoring all piping deliverables
- Strong communication skills in English – oral and writing
